Dr. Shankar Kumar graduated M.B.B.S from K.M.C , Manipal in the year 1983. He received his M.D From K.M.C, Hubli in 1989. After finishing MD, he joined as the HOD at The Ministry Teaching Hospital in Libya. Two years later, he moved to Dubai and worked as a Consultant Physician. On returning to India, he founded MS Diabetes & Skin Centre in 1994. From then to now, Dr.Shankar has dedicated two decades in nurturing the grow of the centre. Today, he is one of the leading physicians in Bangalore and been on several TV and Radio talk shows. Dr.Shankar is also a senior consultant at Manipal Hospital and a Professor of Medicine, educating aspiring medical students.
