While there, she received the award for the most outstanding student of the year for her academic and clinical excellence. After receiving a Gold medal from Maharashtra University in her master's, Dr. Sonia further pursued her fellowship in Refractive surgery at the prestigious Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore where she also was a part of multiple national and international research projects.
