Earlier, he was Senior Consultant in Interventional Cardiology at the Dharma Vira Heart Centre of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, from March 2001 to August 2004. Prior to this post, Dr. Sharma served as a full-time Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at National Heart Institute for nine years.
